![]() Hello, and thank you for visiting my website. I began playing the resophonic guitar in 1996 after being drawn to its beautiful, haunting sound. After hearing another dobro that sounded far better than my own, I approached its owner, asking him if it was a stock instrument. He told me that the guitar had been set up with a new cone, bridge and bone nut. After that, I began experimenting with my own guitar with amazing results. Shortly after hearing my guitar, several other guitar players asked if I would set up their guitars. I felt a great deal of satisfaction, knowing that I was able to improve the tone, volume and playability of their guitars. In the years since, I have had the pleasure of setting up more than 300 resophonic guitars, and I can truly say that it is a labor of love. There is something very special about playing a guitar that is set up correctly. You don't have to worry about uneven or buzzing strings, rattles, bad intonation or poor volume, just the joy of playing a great-sounding guitar. It is my passion to achieve this goal with every guitar I set up. I use multiple spider/cone combinations, trying to find the perfect match for that particular guitar. Every guitar has a voice, and I enjoy trying to find each guitar's unique one. I promise you that no guitar will ever leave my workbench until I'm satisfied that it will be a guitar you'll be proud to play and enjoy anywhere.
